Arrival & Introduction Guests are introduced to their camel and given a short briefing on mounting, riding position, and safety, along with some background on the animal’s significance in traditional Emirati life.
Mounting Up With assistance from our experienced handlers, you’ll settle into the saddle as the camel rises — often the most surprising and fun part of the experience, as camels stand up rear-legs-first, tilting riders forward unexpectedly before leveling out.
The Ride Led by a handler, your camel makes its way across the desert sands at an easy, steady pace, giving you time to take in the surrounding dunes and enjoy the quiet of the desert landscape.
Photo Opportunities Handlers typically pause at scenic points along the route, giving riders a chance to capture photos from camelback against the dune backdrop.
Dismounting At the end of the ride, handlers assist with a safe dismount before guests are free to continue with the rest of their desert experience.
